Happy October! For me, this means Libra season and the busiest and most spook-tacular time of year! Libra is a cardinal sign, marking initiations and the beginning of the Autumn season. In fact after I finish this email, I have promised the boys to log off all devices for the remainder of the day and get into the Halloween spirit by getting out the Halloween decorations. My little boys scream with excitement when we pull out Mr bones (our life-size skeleton) and all the other fun decorations we have collected throughout the years!
Besides decorating for Halloween, our monthly bucket list is filled with family hiking, dressing up, pumpkin pie, spooky movies, Halloween lights road trip, pumpkin carving, Halloween sugar cookie decorating and maybe a few sugar highs along the way haha!

FALL 2021 NEIGHBORHOOD CAMPOUT!
After school Friday, we pitched our tent in the neighborhood grass for the annual campout the community plans twice a year. We used to do this with the older boys years ago when they were younger but it's been a while and my body has had two more kids since those days and sleeping on the floor is not my cup of tea. But……It was so much fun to watch them have a blast. Plus, the weather was perfect (and not windy) or I may have chickened out and went home to my bed! Instead, we slept under the stars and woke up to the sprinklers going off a few times throughout the night. They ended up getting them turned off but it was a surprise to say the least. The kids slept right through it though so they must have had a great night!
Luckily, we stayed dry (thank you tent), and we woke up to Beckett saying “I just love my sleeping bag and our tent” and Jace smiling ear to ear with glee when he woke up. It's the memories we make with our children that they will carry with them for ever and I can't wait until the next one (although I might bring a blow up bed with me).
