A random spot in this Mojave desert doesn't look like much to the average eye, but add in a beautiful family and that sun setting behind those magnificent mountains, and it takes this spot to a whole new level of beauty!
I'm so happy this family who I adore, trusted me and took a plunge on this random spot they had never seen before the day of their photo shoot. We did have to step over tiny prickly things and our shoes got super dirty (note to self not to wear black shoes in the desert!), but I think the images captured were worth it all.
They added "PLAYTIME minutes" to the end of their shoot for a completely raw un-posed emotions and smiles. Just them playing as a family and having some fun at the end of what can be a boring thing to do especially for children! These are the images that capture my love for photography. Images they can look back on when their kids are grown, and see their kids genuine happiness and laughter. This family choose bubbles, and they were the perfect thing for the age gap between the older boys and their new baby sister to enjoy with mom and dad.
