Bountiful Basket's Organic Offering - October 13th 2012

Wow, I can't believe I am actually posting a blog post!  It's been a while since my last post, but family has been doing great and we have just been super duper busy adjusting to a lot of new changes.  I'm just now feeling like I can breath again.  Maybe it was the overdue mom's night out last night that got me ambitious.  I'm telling you, mom's need their "girl time" to get sane again.  There is only so much cleaning, cooking, and ass wiping you can do, before my energy is just wiped out and there is no time to do anything that I actually enjoy (such as blogging).  I have not been posting, but I have still been taking lots of pictures of everything we have been up to and have tons of great ideas and posts to hopefully be showing up in the next little while.

On a second note, it's a special day for me because it's my dearest Grandmother's birthday today.  She jokes around that she is 80, but I believe she is only 79.  Either way, Happy Birthday to her.  She is the sweetest, most wonderful and kind person that I know.  I have looked up to her since I can remember.  She will always be a rock star in my world no matter how many years pass!

Bountiful baskets was great today!  It was a cool 50 degree crisp morning out there.  It actually feels like fall  around here now (finally).  The ladies who run are site are awesome and I just can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put into this every week.  You go girls :)

The rundown on this week's organic basket was:
1 lb roma tomatoes
2 zucchini
1 large acorn squash
3 large rainbow carrots
3 red beets w/ greens
1 head romaine lettuce
1 bunch radishes
1 avocado
2 pomegranates
1 large red plum
6 granny smith apples
2 lb bag of red grapes
6 bananas

I honestly love this basket.  It is exactly what I need to see when I open up that mystery box.  I would say my favorite item is the beets (just love them) and my least favorite item is the radishes (still have last week's sitting in my fridge too) if anyone wants them I am more than happy to pass them on to a radish loving neighbor (i'm serious let me know I will drop them off today).

Until next time, hopefully sooner then later ;) Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by.
