THIS WEEK'S ORGANIC CONTENTS ARE:
Bunch of Kale
Head of Romaine
3 heads of Broccoli
Bunch of Asparagus
2 Yellow Squash
1 Large Cabbage
1 Large Beet
1 Honeydew Melon (that feels soft, so I'm wondering if it's still good?)
When I bring home asparagus I always like to cut an inch or so of the bottoms and place the ends upright in water before putting it into the refrigerator to make it stay fresh longer. If I still have not used it after two days I will cut a little more off the ends and change the water again. It really seems to help keep it nice a crisp until I'm ready to use it, and makes it last much longer.
